BCL — three-phase brake motors, aluminium frame

Three-phase motors with an electromagnetic DC brake, frames 63 to 160, 0.09 – 18.5 kW.

The BCL series couples an asynchronous three-phase motor with a spring-applied electromagnetic DC brake. The brake is fed through a diode-bridge rectifier in the terminal box and releases when energised; on loss of supply the springs apply the brake within milliseconds. A hand-release lever is available on request.
